On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a magnificent road show in Patna, receiving an overwhelming welcome from thousands of supporters. Amid tight security, as his convoy traversed the city, enthusiastic crowds cheered, waved BJP flags, and chanted his name. Women were seen performing aarti from their balconies, while others showered flowers along the route, transforming the event into a festive celebration.
Reactions from BJP Leaders
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad described the road show as incredible, noting the heartfelt appreciation expressed by women who performed aarti. Earlier, Modi addressed a large gathering in Nawada, where he thanked the people of Bihar for their immense enthusiasm, stating that the energy among the youth sends a strong message for the NDA government to return. He emphasized that the crowd's excitement reflects the public's trust in the NDA's development-focused governance model.
Critique of Opposition Alliances
In his speech, Modi launched a sharp critique against the opposition coalition, accusing both the RJD and Congress of prioritizing family interests over public welfare. He remarked, 'The RJD revolves around the most corrupt family in Bihar, while Congress represents the most corrupt family in the country.' Modi also mocked the internal conflicts within the coalition, claiming that despite their partnership, Congress and RJD are working against each other.
A Call for Support to Small Farmers
He further stated, 'The entire nation witnessed how the RJD fielded a candidate against the Bihar Congress president. Reports suggest that Congress is committed to defeating the RJD at every booth.' Reflecting on the RJD's rule, Modi characterized it as a period filled with crime and corruption, referring to it as 'jungle raj.' He reiterated his commitment to supporting small farmers, who he claimed were neglected by previous governments, asserting, 'Post-independence governments have not prioritized the interests of small farmers... but Modi cares for those whom no one else has.'
